A schematic drawing illustrates the dye-labeled oligonucleotide ligation (DOL) assay. This is a closed-tube, walk-away assay that requires minimal laboratory skill, and can be scaled up for high throughput. This assay is very flexible that you can do either multiple samples for a single marker, or do multiple markers for a single sample, or a combination of both. Here is an example for real time monitoring of the reaction.
